We are Jacqui and Laura the founders of Brown Bird Defenders. We have with the Brown Bird & Company team being building Mercedes Sprinter and VW T6 campervans since 2020. Living full-time in campers for several years has helped us design practical and contemporary interiors. We are now bringing our distinctive builds to Land Rover Defenders. Defenders have always been a passion, we built Skafta as our personal day to day vehicle and long term over land camper. We launched her in January 2025 and delighted that we now have commissions booked in for Defender owners.

Skaftas interior is inspired by the heritage of the iconic Land Rover with a modern twist. She's been designed and hand built in our workshop based in Yorkshire. As well as camper conversions we can assist with vehicle sourcing, complete vehicle checks and mechanical upgrades at Dan Clarkes Services, a Defender specialist and workshop neighbour.
